Experience Thai Railway

As we know, Thailand has a very old railway system, operated by State Railway of Thailand. The trains have always delayed. Although it isn't a good choice when you want to go anywhere in time, the old-functional railway is a good alternative when some roads in the capital are closed.

Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong)

Free of charge

The government has provided third-class-train service for free. You can get a free ticket at the station before catching the train. This free service is not only for Thai people, but also foreigners. Therefore, travelling by train would be economical for many people.

Dangerous in countryside, but safe in the capital

We usually see the news about accidents of railway transportation in countryside. Because the railway is cut through fields and forests in countryside, the rail would be easily deteriorate.

A few stations

Comparing to BTS and MRT, the railway has a few stations. In the north line, a distance between station is so far.
